Assaulted for mask-wearing

- David McInnis, Ancaster

Just so everyone who is not a supporter of Rolling Thunder understands where we are at, I was speaking with my daughter-in-law recently and she told me that as she and our four-year-old granddaughter were in a grocery store parking lot in Ancaster when she heard someone a few parking spaces away ranting and shouting obscenities. After some initial confusion about what was going on, she soon realized that the obscenities were directed at her because her daughter was wearing a face mask.

My daughter-in-law is not a confrontational person so she tried to make a timely exit, but the male driver of the other car followed her on to Wilson Street and continued his verbal assault.

You can’t fight ignorance, but you might want to prepare yourself for some defence against it.
