The Hamilton Spectator

False narrative

-

I was shocked and angry that you published this diatribe trying to justify the illegal occupation of Ottawa. Diverse opinions are fine, but people — even Conservatives — can’t be allowed to make up their own facts. The author referred to citizens being “inconvenienced.” More like terrorized. Protesters threatened and coerced staff at an emergency shelter to supply free food to truckers. They urinated on the war memorial. They shouted racist and homophobic remarks and put store and hotel staff at risk by refusing to mask.

Please don’t allow people to lie about this. It sets up a false narrative, which is now parroted by the likes of Poilievre.
