Suburban taxes
I have just read the item on mayoral candidate Loomis. As a resident of Flamborough, I was interested in some of what he said. I even thought to myself, “Finally, a candidate I can vote for.” Then came this paragraph:
“Loomis, an advocate for the $3.4-billion light rail transit project, said he will endorse eliminating area-rating for transit, which will mean higher taxes for suburban residents.”
As a result, he has lost any hope of getting my vote. And I am quite sure many other rural-area voters agree.
