Body found in torched car
Montreal police are investigating after the body of a man was found in the trunk of a torched car in the city’s east end Saturday night. Police said they received a call around 12:25 a.m. about a car that was set on fire in a park. The body of a man, whose identity has not yet been released, was discovered after firefighters extinguished the flames. Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said an autopsy will be performed to identify the man. The homicide is the 10th reported in Montreal since the beginning of the year.
