No mention
Announcing a 40 per cent increase in profits for the first three months of this year, I noticed that no spokesperson for Loblaws thanked front-line store workers for taking cuts in their post-pandemic pay, nor to governments for subsidizing that huge profit increase with pandemic handouts.
Neither did they mention the effect those massive profits have on runaway inflation or how they plan to reduce grocery prices to help struggling Canadian families who are not Loblaw shareholders.
