Gear up and take your places for the Season 5 premiere of the smash-hit Netflix docuseries “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” when it launches on the streamer Friday, Feb. 24. The Consultant - Season 1

This Friday, Feb. 24, Prime premieres its twisted new series, “The Consultant,” a darkly comedic workplace thriller based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Bentley Little. The series stars Christoph Waltz (“Django Unchained,” 2012) as Regus Patoff, a new consultant who is hired to improve the business at a mobile gaming company in Los Angeles. Exploring the sinister relationsh­ip between boss and employee, the series follows along as the employees on CompWare experience a new host of demands and challenges that put everything — including their lives — into question. Created and executive produced by showrunner Tony Basgallop (“Servant”), “The Consultant” is directed by Matt Shakman (“WandaVisio­n”), Daniel Attias (“Homeland”), Charlotte Brändström (“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”), Alexis Ostrander (“Supergirl”), Karyn Kusama (“In Treatment”). Liason - Season 1

Explore the endless possibilit­ies of space and time with the new, contempora­ry thriller series “Liason,” when it premieres its first episode on Apple TV+ Friday, Feb. 24. Episodes air weekly on Fridays there after. Across the series’ six-episode premiere season, the story explores how the mistakes of our past have the potential to destroy our future. In a high-stakes, multilayer­ed plot, “Liason” sees “espionage and political intrigue play out against a story of passionate and enduring love” (per Apple TV+). The first French and English-language Apple Original series, “Liason” comes from creator Virginie Brac (“Cheyenne & Lola”), with direction by Stephen Hopkins (“The Fugitive”). Movie: Bruiser

Onyx Collective and Hulu present the new drama film “Bruiser,” premiering Friday, Feb. 24, on Disney+. The film follows 14-year-old Darious (Jalyn Hall, “Till,” 2022) as he searches for his place among his friends, family and in the world in general. Guided by his hardworkin­g but stern father, Malcolm (Shamier Anderson, “Invasion”), and his calm, nurturing mother, Monica (Shinelle Azoroh, “Swagger”), Darious explores the boundaries of manhood through the tumultuous interactio­ns with his father. When Darius befriends and turns to a charismati­c drifter named Porter (Trevante Rhodes, “Moonlight,” 2016) for help after being beaten up, his new acquaintan­ce’s true identity threatens to unravel the foundation­s of his family.An exploratio­n of fathers, families, generation­al violence and toxic masculinit­y, “Bruiser” marks director Miles Warren’s (“Huntress,” 2018) feature film debut. Written by Ben Medina, who collaborat­ed with Warren on the 2021 short, “Bruiser,” the cast of the film is rounded out by Frank Oakley III (“Sweet Magnolias”), Jonah Bishop-Pirrone (“Law of Attraction,” 2020), Sarah Bock (“Pink fong & Baby Shark’s Space Adventure,” 2019), Kiah Alexandria Clingman (“Thick Skin”), Moses Jones (“Playing Through,” 2022), Gavin Munn (“Raising Dion”), Ava Ryback (“Life & Beth”) and Jay Santiago (“Ghostwrite­r”).
