Neighbourhood Sunninghill Features Located steps away from the edge of the escarpment and a short drive to Concession Street, this home is the only property in the immediate area listed for more than $1 million.

This five-bedroom, four-and-ahalf-bathroom Mountain Brow Boulevard home has more than 3,000 square feet of living space and a backyard that’s “perfect for a staycation,” said Keri Taylor, a salesperson with Woolcott Real Estate.

The fully fenced space has an inground pool, a wood-burning fireplace, multiple seating areas, a hot tub, a covered patio with retractable screens, a garden for growing veggies and a pond.

“It’s truly an oasis,” said Taylor. “There is something for everyone back there.”

The main floor features an openconcept dining and living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a modern kitchen with quartz countertops, a walk-in pantry and a powder room. There is also a wing with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a three-piece ensuite.

Taylor said the upper level of the home, formally an attic space, has been transformed into a massive primary suite, which includes a sitting area, a den that could be used as a home gym, an ensuite bathroom with a soaker tub as well as a walk-in closet.

Downstairs, the basement features another sitting area, a bedroom, a three-piece bathroom and a large recreation room with a kitchenette.

With the house having separate living spaces, Taylor noted it could be “perfect for multi-generational living.” She pointed to the downstairs unit, which could be used as an in-law suite.

While parts of the home have been renovated, Taylor said some of its charm has been preserved, such as the original hardwood flooring and rounded walls throughout the main floor.

“It’s a really warm and cosy house,” she added.

Why is it priced this way?

Taylor said the price of the house was influenced by the size of the lot, the square footage of the home, the renovations on the property and its “prime location” on Mountain Brow.

The home was last listed for $1,799,900 late last year, according to HouseSigma, a real estate data collection service.
