THE TOP PRIORITY FOR CHICAGO GM STAN BOWMAN IS TO lock up his two biggest 2015-eligible UFAs. It’s hard to imagine Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane leaving the Blackhawks, but if they did hit the open market, o ers would swell. After all, Toews and Kane are more than a supreme leader and sublime scorer – they are a franchise. When Chicago selected them in successive drafts (2006 and 2007), the team’s fortunes turned on a dime, going from punch line to dynasty chaser overnight. Their value to Chicago goes beyond the points they put on the scoresheet.

Toews and Kane each make $6.3 million, but how much should the raise be? Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby combine to make $18.2 million and, if Toews and Kane wanted, they could eclipse even that. The two Hawks are just the tip of the iceberg for potential 2015 free agents. Here are 10 other names to watch.
