The Great Al Hill
Al Hill played his entire NHL career with Philadelphia (a modest 221 regular season games) from the late 1970s and into the 1980s, but his first game was the greatest arrival in NHL history. Although he would accrue but 95 points in his career, five came in his first game. Not only did he score two goals and add three assists, he fought Billy MacMillan, marking the only time in NHL debut history that a player recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick.
