OFFENSIVE PLAY

-

IF YOU’RE DRAFTING EITHER one of these players, it’s primarily for their offensive bent. Hughes’ ability to create is born out of speed and explosiveness, while Boqvist’s emerges far more subtly. “From the blueline, Boqvist has a bigger arsenal of tools,” said one scout. “He’s more creative and has more subtleties. He sees the second and third play.” Another scout agreed that Boqvist’s offensive talent is more innate, that creating offense comes a little more easily to him. “They’re both good from the blueline in, but Boqvist is a natural,” the scout said. “The best part of his game is from the offensive blueline in.” EDGE: BOQVIST
