MAPLE LEAFS

TORONTO

-

No team in the Atlantic faces more vexing roster and contract decisions than the Maple Leafs. It would not be a surprise to see every significant UFA – James van Riemsdyk, Tyler Bozak, Leo Komarov, Roman Polak, Tomas Plekanec and Dominic Moore – move on, but those players have to be replaced. On the RFA front, WILLIAM NYLANDER proved during the regular season that he deserves a long-term deal, but his play in the playoffs indicates that a bridge deal might be the more prudent way for the team to go. And this will all be done with the backdrop of Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, whose entry-level deals can be extended after July 1.
