THAT’S A LOT OF ICE BATHS

-

When the Philadelphia Flyers hit the ice for a home game against the Detroit Red Wings on Jan. 18, Keith Yandle stands to make history. If he plays in each one of the previous 42 games with his new team, that’s the night Yandle will break the NHL’s all-time ironman streak of 964 games, set by Doug Jarvis. Should Patrick Marleau find a place to play, he’ll need to get into 19 games to pass Mark Messier’s all-time record of 1,992 combined regular-season and playoff games.
