If he plays in each one of the previous 42 games with his new team, that’s the night Yandle will break the NHL’s all-time ironman streak of 964 games, set by Doug Jarvis. Should Patrick Marleau find a place to play, he’ll need to get into 19 games to pass Mark Messier’s all-time record of 1,992 combined regular-season and playoff games.
