Simon Edvinsson was one of the best prospects available in 2021, and Detroit got him sixth overall, while also nabbing an elite stopper in fellow first-rounder Sebastian Cossa. With German Moritz Seider playing in the SHL last year and winning defensemanof-the-year honors, the Wings have done well in the Land of Lidstrom.
