Break en­ter and theft, while res­i­dent sleeps

A DVD player was taken from a down­town home while the res­i­dent was sleep­ing.

City po­lice re­port of­fi­cers were called to the res­i­dence at 8: 30 a. m. Wednesday for a re­port of a break and en­ter. In­ves­ti­ga­tion re­vealed an un­known sus­pect en­tered the home by re­mov­ing a rear bed­room win­dow. The in­ves­ti­ga­tion fur­ther re­vealed a boot print left be­hind by the sus­pect on a piece of ma­te­rial within the res­i­dence. The res­i­dence was en­tered some­time be­tween 11 p. m. Tuesday and 8 a. m. Wednesday. Foren­sic Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Of­fi­cers were called in to as­sist in the mat­ter and col­lect ev­i­dence. An in­ves­ti­ga­tion is con­tin­u­ing and po­lice are ask­ing any­one who may have in­for­ma­tion about this event to please con­tact in­ves­ti­gat­ing of­fi­cer Cst.
