RELAY FOR LIFE: The Bay of Quinte Relay For Life is back. Please join us on Saturday, June 8th as we continue to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. Teams and Participan­ts of Hope will be walking the track at Trenton High School. Opening Ceremonies are a 2 p.m. The very moving Luminary Ceremony will be as dusk. YARD SALE: Ice Wine Synchroniz­ed figure skating team is once again holding its annual fundraisin­g yard sale, at 1340 Rednersvil­le Road, on Saturday, May 25th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will include children's toys, household items, snow blower, kayak, artwork, tools and gardening items, plus fun treasures too numerous to mention. THE WIZARD OF OZ: Eastside Secondary School's Musical Theatre presents the well-loved classic musical The Wizard of Oz on May 22, 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. and May 25 at 2 p.m. at ESS, 275 Farley Avenue, Belleville. FRIENDS OF FERRIS: Friends of Ferris will be hosting Guided Walks in Ferris Provincial Park every Tuesday from May 7 until Dec. 9. We meet at the east end of the Suspension Bridge in Campbellfo­rd at 9 a.m. and walk for about an hour — rain or shine. Suitable attire and footwear are recommende­d. With an experience­d volunteer guide, we explore a wide variety of well groomed trails choosing the one that best suits the participan­ts of the day. Whether you are a resident of Trent Hills or a visitor, walk with us to increase your daily step count, experience nature bathing and learn about nature that abounds in our Provincial Park. Donations are accepted and go to the Friends of Ferris.

CHORAL SOCIETY: Belleville Choral Society's next concert will be on Saturday, May 11 at 2 p.m. with the doors opening at 1:30 p.m. at St Matthew's United Church 25 Holloway St, Belleville. Entitled `ANYTHING GOES,' the performanc­e will live up to its name with selections celebratin­g classic jazz arrangemen­ts, musical theatre favourites and modern syncopated rhythms. As a special touch to this Mother's Day weekend event, Music Director Heather Christians­en will conduct the premiere choral performanc­e of Love Endures, a commission­ed arrangemen­t from pianist Tom Dietzel. GRIEF GROUPS: The Heart of Hastings Hospice and Children's Mental Health Services is hosting a six week Group for Children aged 8-12 and 13-16. Grief Groups will be available for children who have lost a family member or friend and reside in the Centre Hastings area. EASTMINSTE­R QUILTERS: Once again the Eastminste­r Quilters are in a position to take on the hand quilting of a few more quilts over the next few months. We are all seasoned hand quilters and will treat your quilt tops with the care and expertise in quilting that you or someone you love put into the piecing of the top. Hand quilting gives a softer feel to a quilt than machine but is a slow process and is what usually stalls many quilts from being completed.
