A s the eldest of five children, Bibi Golberg had plenty of practice looking after kids. She was often responsible for looking after her younger siblings and their friends. “I used to ‘run’ my own school with fun activities for them,” she says. “This love of educating young children never left me.” Fast forward to present day, and she now has over three decades of experience as an early childhood educator. Just under half of those years have been spent at Temple Sinai Nursery School. The school prides itself on integrating children with special needs into the school community, and one of Golberg’s proudest moments at the school came when she witnessed the children supporting and cheering loudly as their friend took steps for the first time without a walker. Golberg also says that collaboration between the parents and teachers is necessary for every child to succeed. “I believe that young children thrive when their teachers and parents are partners. Our close connections allow parents to give us insight into their child’s life,” she says. “As early childhood educators we share valuable information on all aspects of child development. As a coop it is easy to achieve this as we play, learn and grow
