Queenie Spindel

The Kids Post - - Registry of Educators -

We are dedicated to developing and enriching the 'whole child'. Our students build their self-esteem and confidence while learning about themselves and the world around them. Through pay-based learning opportunities, our students build friendships, and create many wonderful memories at Hillcrest. We provide a warm nurturing environment that allows the children to grow and develop throughout our 4 year program, from Toddler to Senior Kindergarten. Originally from Capetown, South Africa, Queenie Spindel says she has always had a love for children, starting at Hillcrest as a teacher 29 years ago, then becoming the Principal in 1989. "These are the most fundamental years of a child's development and I enjoy sharing my passion and enthusiasm during their time at Hillcrest. Our Jewish Heritage Program is central to the Hillcrest curriculum. Celebrating Jewish holidays in a child-oriented manner, through song, dance and story telling is a wonderful learning experience for the children. It brings me great joy to bridge the introduction of Jewish Heritage from school into the homes of

our families."
