The Kids Post - - Registry of Educators - MARK BUNTEN GRADE 9 LINCWELL COUNSELLOR

Starting in September, Mark Bunten will be taking on a new role as the new Grade 9 LINC Well counsellor. With both practical experience and a masters degree in counselling psychology, Bunten’s passion for the field is sure to be a benefit. Formerly the social sciences curriculum and department leader, Bunten has always been guided by the philosophy that learning should be fun, and engage students on more than just the cognitive level. “Whether it be design thinking, mindful meditation, learning conversations, business cases or another variety of ways of approaching ideas, my students are encouraged to explore the boundaries of what they know, use innovative tools to interpret ideas and information and engage with the world around them,” he explains. Bunten has also focused on contributing to the co-curricular program in business studies. St. Clement’s School now host its own business case competition and competes in a variety of external events including SIFMA’s stock market challenge - where last year two of their student teams placed second and third in the world. “These opportunities have enriched our school and the opportunities for students to excel in the world of commerce and business outside of our doors.”
