Graduating Grade: 8

The Kids Post - - The Vals -

“SHS taught me the importance of a strong work ethic and being a team player.”

How does it feel to be awarded valedictorian? It's a tremendous honour to be awarded valedictorian at SHS. It has been a goal I have been working toward as long as I can remember as I have been at the school since JK. How do you think The Sterling Hall School (SHS) has prepared you for life after graduation? SHS has taught me valuable character strengths that have prepared me for life as a high school student. Did you have a teacher who inspired you? Many teachers inspired me. However, I'd like to give a special shout out to Mr. Tyler Meakin who has been my mentor, role model and friend since SK. What’s your best memory of the school? My best memory was a magic show my dad did for my SK class in the winter of 2009. We chopped up my teacher's tie and my dad somehow restored it - good as new! What was your biggest accomplishment to date? Not including being selected as valedictorian, I won the internal public speaking competition. I then went on to win the external competition against eight other private schools in the GTA.
