Dave Blundon, Clinical Nurse Manager for the facility, said this will be a huge help for residents.
Since the 71 residents all require a fair bit of care and a lot have limited mobility, Blundon said, being able to have regular haircuts will greatly impact their wellbeing.
“This is going to be phenomenal for all the residents here. It’s going to be a big morale booster for them, it’s going to make them feel more independent in what they can do and they can get things done when they want to get them done now,” he said.
He said since he started working there two years ago he’s been advocating for getting the chairs for the facility. And he’s really happy to have this goal accomplished.
