Demand service

The London Free Press - - LETTERS -

I would like to share a recent experience at Walmart. I stopped for a quick purchase just after 10 a.m. or at least I thought it would be a quick purchase. I was in line at the express cash where they have four stations but only one cashier working and a lineup continuing to grow.

One of the associates came along and asked if someone would like to use self-checkout. I asked if she can get some more cashiers, but I was ignored. the second time this happened, she went on a power trip and asked me to stop yelling at her, which I had not. the couple behind me came to my rescue and told her I was not yelling and were ready to talk to the manager.

If I wanted to use selfcheckout, I would go shop online. I do not like machines replacing people. I hope people would voice their disapproval to management more and demand they hire people and not install more self checkouts. Peter Siniowski London
