The McLeod River Post - - Family, Farm & Garden -

Effective immediately ( May 30), fire permits will again be issued as usual for any burning. Cooler temperatures and higher humidity drop the wildfire danger to LOW across the Yellowhead County Permit Zone.

Fire permits, and all safe burning practices and safety precautions are still mandatory.

What is allowed without a permit?

Recreational fires including campfires, portable propane fire pits and gas or propane stoves, and barbecues are allowed without a permit. Burn barrels require a fire permit in certain areas within Yellowhead County; please contact your local fire permit office for details.
