AUPE support staff and Living Waters Catholic Regional Division no. 42 settle dispute

The McLeod River Post - - Education Matters -

We are pleased to announce that Living Waters and AUPE have both voted to ratify the recommendations from the mediator and have reached an agreement that will bring an end to AUPE’s strike action.

The agreement that was reached after the negotiation session held on October 15, 2018 addresses the needs and issues raised by both parties throughout the negotiation process, and we hope will be an important first step in allowing our community to move forward.

We recognize the last weeks have not been easy for anyone in the Living Waters community, including those employees who were on strike. We now look forward to the process of healing and reconciliation that must take place In the wake of such events, and to welcoming our valued employees back to their places of work. The Board and Senior Administration of Living Waters want to sincerely thank our community for their support, patience, understanding, and prayers as we navigated this process.
