Stony Plain/ Spruce Grove/ Enoch RCMP arrest three in robbery

On October 27, 2018 at approximat­ely 10:45 p.m., Spruce Grove RCMP were called to an aggravated assault against a 16-year-old male.

RCMP learned that the victim was assaulted at a local school ground by two 19-year-old males and a 14-year-old male, who were known to the victim. The victim was robbed, hit with a prohibited firearm and stabbed. The victim was taken to the Stollery Children’s Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

Vincent WHITFORD, of Edmonton, and Jonathon DIXON, of Alberta Beach, were charged with numerous offences, including:

• Robbery with Prohibited Firearm - Section 344(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. •

Aggravated Assault- Section 268 of the Criminal Code.

• Uttering Threats- Section 264.1 of the Criminal Code.

• Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose- Section 88 of the Criminal Code.

• Unauthoriz­ed Possession of a Firearm- Section 91 of the Criminal Code.

WHITFORD and DIXON were released from custody on conditions and will appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on November 21, 2018.

The 14-year-old male, of Spruce Grove, was charged with numerous offences, including:

• Robbery with Prohibited Firearm - Section 344(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

• Aggravated Assault- Section 268 of the Criminal Code.

• Uttering Threats- Section 264.1 of the Criminal Code.

• Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose- Section 88 of the Criminal Code.

• Unauthoriz­ed Possession of a Firearm- Section 91 of the Criminal Code.

He was released from custody on conditions and will appear in Stony Plain Youth Court on November 16, 2018.
