Hinton RCMP investigat­e attempted break and enter a local sport store

Hinton RCMP are currently investigat­ing an attempted break and enter to a local sport store that occurred on March 15, 2021.

At 5:12 a.m., Hinton RCMP responded to an attempted break and enter at High Calibre Sports, located at 858 Carmichael Lane in Hinton, Alta. The suspect fled the scene prior to RCMP arrival.

Video surveillan­ce indicates an unidentifi­ed male suspect arrived at the store at 4:14 a.m. in a black Volkswagen Jetta but leaves after a short period of time and returns again at 4:29 a.m. At this time the male attempts to gain entry through the front door, although unsuccessf­ul caused a significan­t amount of damage.

Male suspect is described as:

Caucasian.

5’8” to 5’11” tall.

Slim to average build.

· Wearing a black hoodie, black toque, blue jeans, and black shoes with a white sole.

The Hinton RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifyin­g the suspect involved or observed the vehicle around the time of the offence.
