The Miracle

Disappointment at the Heart of Asia Conference

-

Maybe, “friendly Nawaz but angry Modi atmosphere” is part of modern strategic engineering to avoid the level playing field.

The insulting attitude: Despite the PM Nawaz Sharif’s efforts to maintain pleasant atmosphere in the region, the stubborn India and its “puppet Afghanistan,” continue to add fuel to the fire. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani lashed out at Pakistan by snubbing a $500 million pledge from Islamabad he humiliated Pakistan by saying the amount could be used to fight terrorism. And, India insulted Pakistan by using Afghanistan, a country whose more than 3 million citizens are residing in Pakistan without any passport, visa and other legalities, yet Pakistan has helped Afghanistan in every difficult time. This attitude of Afghanistan despite all the support is unacceptable. In fact, Pakistan armed forces have successfully launched Zarb e azb operation and eliminated terror network on pak soil. Isolated / Detained: Sartaj Aziz (Adviser Foreign Affairs) faced intimidation during the moot he was hotel-detained with no permission to be seen by anyone. On his part, Aziz called for collaboration among member nations to achieve an ‘Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace’. He also slammed the remarks made by the leadership of India and Afghanistan, calling for an end of blamegame. The adviser also reiterated Pakistan’s desire for a “structured talk” with India, provided New Delhi wants the same. The Indian government did not allow him to hold a scheduled press conference on the sidelines of Heart of Asia Conference simply on the pretext of his security. This was a clear ban on Pakistan’s advisor to issue any statement. Is it democracy" Upset with CPEC: Convincingly enough, the fragile relationship is due to jealousy over the CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) project. Frustrated Modi is in denial mode he is angry as Pakistan is on its way to becoming economically stronger, hence his negative propaganda is likely to continue. Historically, India is addicted to play games for isolating Pakistan internationally on the false charges of Terrorism. The fact is Pakistan has made maximum sacrifice and is also a victim of foreign sponsored. Indo Afghan nexus: There is evidence of India Afghan joint venture aimed at destabilising Pakistan. Modi launched a campaign to isolate Pakistan globally after the Uri attack, also took a dig at Islamabad, saying ‘inaction on terror issue would strengthen terrorist activities’. The Indian prime minister also announced plans to connect his country with Afghanistan via an air link. Russia praised Pakistan: Amazingly, Russia welcomed Sartaj’s statement. Russia’s special envoy to Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, condemned earlier statements by Modi and Ghani, in which the two had criticised Islamabad’s approach towards dealing with terrorism. Also, Pakistan claims to have solid proofs of Indian active indulgence to promote militancy in Baluchistan. India is blamed for sending militants through Afghanistan. Pakistan military has already cleaned up most of the troubled spots by killing terrorists, and the Operation Zarb e Azb is still on. Abnormal Diplomacy: Ghani and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had something else in mind both bluntly attacked Pakistan. Mr Modi seemed to go out of his way to slight Pakistan, with Mr Aziz mostly kept at arm’s length and relegated to a separate table at a dinner hosted by the Indian prime minister. Meanwhile, President Ghani, a central figure at a conference held essentially to find ways to assist Afghanistan, seemed more interested in venting his frustrations on Pakistan and pulling other rivals of this country closer in an ad hoc alliance against it. It made for riveting headlines, but in truth may have only set back further the cause of stability and peace in the region. The good faith in which Mr Aziz went to Amritsar was not reciprocated. India is sending its agents into Pakistan to create insecurity and there is proof of it. The conference should have taken sou motto notice of it. The Kashmir issue not been highlighted either. Positive development: In the recent meeting in Campodia, there were 42 countries including Bangladesh and Afghanistan they did not oppose Pakistan’s point of view on Kashmir. Problem is Pakistan Govt is below average diplomatically as it doesn’t take strong stance on issues on foreign affairs with India and Afghanistan appropriately. Genuine leadership should be free of Panama gate type scandals: There is rampant corruption in Pakistan from top to bottom causing administrative paralysis and sub standard governance. The embattled prime minister means bad news nationally or internationally. Tarnished reputation may add to Pakistan bashing. As per the apex court, onus of proof is on defendant Sharif who is facing music already on panama issue. Conclusion:

•President Ghani and PM Modi have teamed up together to give rough time to Pakistan contrary to the wishes of Afghans in general. It’s confirmed that Pakistan’s vulnerability on western border exists in addition to the eastern side.

• Air link between India and Afghanistan is going to be developed for trade, however there is room for suspicion. There might be a disguised supply line for transfer of military hardware for Baluchistan and tribal agencies in Pakistan. Since it would be a cause of concern, Indian and Afghan overflights would be monitored by Pakistan to ensure there is no remote sensing.

•With regard to mistreating the advisor, it seems PM Sharif failed to provide necessary protection when it comes to self esteem, dignity and integrity of its high level officials and diplomats while on Indian land.

•Furthermore, everyone knows India continues to be stubborn and is busy silencing the voice of freedom lovers Kashmiri people.

•India is unlawfully denying the right of self determination (plebiscite), thereby defying the UN resolutions on Kashmir.

•Pakistan confirms that RAW is behind all terrorism in Pakistan. Strongly recommended: A fully functional Foreign Ministry headed by an independent Foreign Minister is the answer here. A renewed pro Pakistan foreign policy has to be in place to deal with all affairs abroad effectively and efficiently, but that’s possible only when a corruption free environment is allowed to prevail in the country.
