Zaad- Ul- Hujjaj Foundation held their first fundraising dinner
On April 16th 2017, the Zaad- Ul- Hujjaj Foundation held their first annual fundraising dinner at the Afghan Chopan. With over 120 guests in attendance, they were able to raise $22,000 towards sending three people to Hajj this year and one person for Ramadan Umrah. The three people for Hajj will go via Maulana Nomani’s agency, in the company of Sulaiman Fawzi, at the cost of $8,000 each, and the one person to go for Ramadan Umrah will go via Galaxy Travels with the company of Mufti Asim at the cost of $2450. The program began with the recitation of the Quran by Hafiz HamadUllah, after which the Host and Keynote speaker, Hafiz Abubakar Khan, introduced the foundation. The Zaad-Ul- Hujjaj Foundation is a not for profit organization aimed
at providing some underprivileged Muslims and newly reverted Muslims with an all inclusive trip to perform Hajj and Umrah. It also aims to provide the facilities for the performance of HajjalBadl along with educating Muslims on the importance of performing Hajj, which Maulana Zafir Abid spoke about at the event. He was followed by the newly reverted Muslim, Zayan Hakim, who spoke about his journey to Islam and who will be the first reverted Muslim to be sent to Hajj through Zaad-Ul- Hujjaj, along with two other Muslims. The evening concluded with Maulana Nomani’s excellent fundraising and a wonderful Du’aa by Hafiz Salhudeen Zubair. Zaad-Ul- Hujjaj is continuing to raise funds in order to fulfill the remaining cost. Special thanks brother Far- rukh Alam for sponsoring one persons performance of Hajj, and to everyone else who donated both their time and money towards providing the best gift on earth from one Muslim to another.
