The Association of Islamic Charitable Projects held a celebration commemorating the New Hijri year 1439 at Surrey Arts Centre on Sunday, September 17th. This celebration was an outstanding success in the preparation, presentation and organization of the AICP and renowned Islamic Chants Group for hosting an entertaining event for the diverse Muslim community attending and participating. Recitation from the Blessed Qur’an initiated the whole celebration of more than 300 attendees. The diverse attendance enjoyed and reacted delightfully to chants praising Allah taAala and His blessed Messenger Muhammad sallallahu Aalayhi wa sallam. Speeches in both Arabic and English languages reflected on the great insights and virtues of the Blessed Migration (Hijrah) of the Prophet sallallahu Aalayhi wa salam. The audience was inspired by lessons from the past that taught: How to rely on Allah truly, acts of bravery, unity, brotherhood, attachment of protecting land. In addition, the speeches included the greatness and glory of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu Aalayhi wa sallam and the immense love of his companions to the Messenger of Allah while sharing the very inspiring story of how they presented Islam to the King of Abyssinia during their first migration.
