140th Allma Iqbal Birthday celebrates at C.of .Surrey
On Nov 10, The Pakistani Canadian Cultural Association(PCCA) hosted a celebration to honor the 140th birthday of Sir Allama Mohammad Iqbal, the National Poet of Pakistan at Bhawan Hall in Surrey. PCCA’s women wing played a major role in organizing this successful event in which a large number of families participated . The program included a colourful presentation by Children on Iqbal’s famous poem, “lab pe aati hai dua ban ke tamanna meri”, Mili Nagmas by Ms. Salma Shah, Speeches by kids and adults including Mr. Shams, Jilani, Mr. Mohammad Rafiq, Mr. Naeem Lakhan, Ms. Huma Mir on Iqbaliat, his life and poetry. The final speech was given by PCCA’s president Mr. Farrukh Syed and vote of thanks given by Mr. Naveed Waraich and Mr. Iftikhar Ghumman. Before the cake cutting, Mr. Naseer Pirzada made Duaa for Muslim Ummah and specially Duaa e Maghfarat for Allama Mohammad Iqbal.
