n the year of 1 , Pakistan came into e istence it became uniTue in the 0us lim world because it remains the only country to have been created in the name of ,slam 7he 0uslim Pakistan was di vided into two parts (ast Pakistan and West Pakistan 7wenty four years ago, on the 1 th of 'ecem ber 1 1, Pakistan lost (ast Pakistan when af ter the election of th 'ecember 1 leaders of (ast Pakistan 6heikh 0uMibur 5ahman and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto from West Pakistan were unable to settle their disputes, (ast Pakistan locked itself away completely to become a new country Bangladesh , still remember the grief and sadness when the whole nation glued to television­s and ra dios ─ received the news that the Pakistani Army had surrendere­d to our enemy ,ndia 1inety thousand of our soldiers, including high g ranks, , had laid their arms 7his was a shock for the nation that no words could de scribe Pakistan, the biggest 0uslim country with a strong army, had faced the humilia tion of surrender Within 2 years of the creation of Pakistan we lost (astern half of our beloved country it s a huge loss ,n the history of nations, 2 years does not hold a significan­t importance, but the division of a country in this span of time raises Tuestions Why did the Bengalis who struggled for the creation of Pakistan in 1 suddenly decide to split from Pakistan" Also Tuestion arise that +ow did the Pa kistan government forget that it is not Must about the people of the land called them selves as Bengalis, they had the big respon sibility on their shoulder to protect those who settled in west Pakistan there after in dependence ,those 0uslim settlers are the liability of Pakistan government" 7he most tragic part is that the ruling class of West Pakistan had forgotten the separa tion of (ast Pakistan in such a way as if it was not the division of a state, but some un important event 'espite the passage of years, none of the people responsibl­e for 'haka )all have been tried or punished (ast Pakistan detaching itself from the ,s lamic 5epublic of Pakistan was a big blow to both the people and the government 6adly, y, another horrifying yg massacre happened pp on the e act same day and month, but in 2 1 7his time, it was the innocent school children and staff members of Army Public 6chool Peshawar 7he killers were from our own land, calling themselves 0uslims 7he whole nation mourned the loss of inno cent school children and noble, dedicated, teachers ,t was a 7uesday morning 1 th 'ecember 2 1 when the school bell rang, the cor ridors of the school filling with giggles of students children were busy in their class rooms when all of a sudden halls echoed with gunshots, and the people of Pakistan witnessed the bloodiest and the most savage terrorist attack

6i gun men began ruthlessly killing in nocent children, going as far as burning the principal alive in front of the children as they slaughtere­d teachers and faculty mem bers 7his brutal massacre continued for al most eight hours, killing at least 1 1 people including 132 children and nine staff mem bers, leaving 121 people wounded A rescue operation was launched by Paki stan Army, who killed all si terrorists /ater other perpetrato­rs and terrorists were also captured and killed 7he tragic murders of those innocent souls shocked the nation 7hose who viewed 7ali ban as freedom fighters and noble warriors saw their true faces )rom 2 to 2 13, the 7aliban went on brutal killing g sprees p 2ur good 7aliban and bad 7aliban illusion was shattered and the nation saw only one face 7he face of terrorism 7his day will al ways bring back the memory of the trag edies of 'ecember 1 th, in both 1 1 and 2 1 7his day provides us with a great oppor tunity to rethink our mistakes made in the past ,t s important that those in corridors of power accept their mistakes 2nly then, they will not make these mistakes again ,f internal problems are tackled more wisely and every citi en in Pakistan is considered as an eTual, a lot of problems will be solved before they grow out of con trol /et us hope for the better and try to play our individual parts in preventing similar tragedies in the future D VWD GD DG
