PCCA celebrates Quaid-E-Azam day...

Pakistani Canadian Cultural Association Of BC celebrated QuaidE-Azam day on Dec 24 at Punjab Bhawan Center Surrey along with many respected community members. Iftikhar Ghumman started the program with the introduction of the hosts Tauseef Waraich and Hira Jahangir. The evening was organized to celebrate the birthday of the founder of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Mr. Tauseef Waraich shared important incidents of Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s life from childhood to becoming Quaid e Azam. Kids were actively involved in the majority of the program and presented Tilawat e Quran, beautiful presentation on a national song, and speeches. A historical video was presented by Mr. Naveed Waraich containing rare footage of Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s life. President of PCCA-BC Mr. Farukh Syed highlighted Quaid e Azam day and its importance. He also extended his team’s greetings to the Christian community and community at large on the occassion of Christmas. Christmas. He also highlighted the current Islamic month’s importance as Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) was also born in this month. The chief guest of the event, Consul General Dr. Muhammad Tariq also spoke about Quaid e Azam’s life and principles of his life. Many other community members included Naseer Pirzada, Tariq Kiyani, Intikab Ahmed also discussed the messages of Quaid-e-Azam for the nation. At the end the PCCA directors Naveed Waraich and Iftikhar Ghumman thanked all the Directors, volunteers, media outlets, sponsor (Noman Sadiq) and the whole community for their participation.
