ISCC and MAT Strongly Condemn Today’s Terrorist Attacks on Muslims in Kabul, Afghanistan
(Calgary) The Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC) and Muslims Against Terrorism (MAT) strongly condemn today’s terrorist attacks at the Shia Muslim Cultural Centre in Kabul Afghanistan in which more than 40 people were killed including several children and more than 80 were injured. Once again, these terrorist attacks prove that Daesh (ISIS) attackers are imposters and do not belong to the Muslim community. Brushing off these attacks by labeling them sectarian is a distraction and cover up. Regardless of sectarian and denominational differences among Muslims it is not possible a Muslim would commit such a heinous crime against fellow Muslims. These attacks clearly indicate that anti-Muslim anti-Islam hate-mongers are responsible. ISCC and MAT demand that United Nations Secretary General Mr. Antynio Guterres must appoint an independent international committee to investigate terrorist attacks around the world and bring the criminals, their behind the scene facilitators, trainers, financiers and brainwashers to justice. We pray for our brothers and sisters who were killed in these attacks in Afghanistan. Our prayers and deep sympathies are with the victims and their families.
