Shaid Afridi Vis­its BC for “Hope for Pak­istan” Fundrais­ing Din­ner

On April 26th, the Pak­istani leg­endry all­rounder Crick­eter Shahid Afridi stop over at Aria Ban­quet Hall Sur­rey dur­ing his Canada 2018 tour. The Is­lamic Re­lief Canada along with Shahid Afridi Foun­da­tion Canada co­or­di­nated his tour. From Is­lamic Re­lief Canada Sr. Fa­tima Ben­hatta of Van­cou­ver Chap­ter or­gan­ised this Fundrais­ing event -Hope For Pak­istan -# HopeNot Out in Van­cou­ver. # HopeNot Out is the slo­gan of Shahid Afridi Foun­da­tion that seeks to sup­port health care ini­tia­tives in ru­ral ar­eas of Pak­istan. Many com­mu­nity or­gan­i­sa­tions co­or­di­nated in this fundrais­ing din­ner and able to raised about C$70,000. This amount will go to­wards for build­ing and op­er­at­ing cost of a hos­pi­tal in Tangi Banda Ko­hat, Pak­istan and SAF Schools in La­hore and other ar­eas as well as un­der­tak­ing Clean Wa­ter in the un­der­priv­i­leged com­mu­nity in Ti­rah Val­ley. A large num­ber of Pak­istani and other com­mu­nity came to cheered Afridi’s no­ble cause in fundrais­ing din­ner. Shahid Afridi ad­dressed to the au­di­ence and shared his ex­pe­ri­ence as a Crick­eter and af­ter a re­tire­ment his com­mu­nity char­ity and wel­fare work. And he thanked all the Van­cou­ver com­mu­nity of their hos­pi­tal­ity and gen­eros­ity. At the stage there was an in­ter­view seg­ment with him about his life.
