When Eng­land play Pak­istan in Eng­land you al­ways fancy the home team to win but at the back of your mind you won­der which Pak­istan team will turn up. They are dan­ger­ously tal­ented, un­pre­dictable mav­er­icks who are ruled by the moon. At their best they play on an emo­tional high and can be un­stop­pable, at worst they cave in too eas­ily. For all their lim­i­ta­tions and dis­as­trous win­ter tours of Aus­tralia and New Zealand Eng­land will be tough to beat, not be­cause they are a very good team but mainly they have a few big time play­ers in James An­der­son, Stu­art Broad, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes who are ex­pe­ri­enced at play­ing on English pitches.
