Community awareness: Beware of Phone Scams

Miracle Media Desk: Nowadays, quite a few community members are complaining about receiving suspicious calls from unknown numbers and sometimes long distance numbers appears on screen. Some of those are threatening calls from a fake CRA representative, and calling them back mau end up with charges of $100 on your bill. Please don’t call bavk unless any message is left at your cell phone.

I personally have been receiving 2-3 calls at my numbers weekly with a female speaking Chinese. The Canadian Anti Fraud Centre says the one-ring’ phone scam has started to target people right across Canada. Please be on the alert about these scams.
