On Nov 18th, The Islamic Relief Canada organized a fundraising dinner at Crystal @ York Centre Surrey. Br, Abubakar Khan was the MC, and program started with the recitation of Holy Quran and after that local and guest speakers included Sheikh Anass, Br, Mazhar Kawasmi, Br, Sadiq and Sr, Fatima Benhatta addressed. Keynote speaker Shaykh Omar Suleiman, who came from US for this “Fundraising Tour for Orphans in Conflict

Zones” (He is an American Muslim scholar, civil rights activist and speaker, the Founder and President of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research professor of Islamic Studies at Southern Methodist University) delivered a beautiful lecture on “Orphans” with reference of Quran and Haidths. At the end Br, Mahmood Q. Head of Fund Development (Ontario) motivated the audience to donate generously for orphans in the conflict zones.
