Hymn Sing Worship Service – Hosted by Lighthouse Mennonite Church, Hector Square Gazebo, Pictou, 6 p.m. Weather permitting. All welcome. Holy Name Cemetery Mass – MacKay Street, Westville, at 6 p.m. with Father Peter MacDonald officiatin­g. In case of rain, service will be held at Holy Name Church in Westville.

August 1-5

Vacation Bible School – For children aged 3 to 11, St. David’s Presbyteri­an Church, Toney River, 9 a.m. to noon.

August 11

Annual Blueberry Ceilidh – Sponsored by Blair Presbyteri­an Church, 5 p.m., at Blue Mountain Fire Hall. Good time with lots of local musicians. Concession stand opens at 4 p.m.

August 28
