STELLARTON – Marjorie Joyce Eaton age 62 of Kirk Ave., Stellarton passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of Marjorie (Curry) Linthorne and the late Harvey Linthorne. Marjorie lived most of her life in Stellarton. She was an employee of Valley View Villa, Riverton and was a member of Sharon

St. John United Church.

Marjorie enjoyed playing darts, bowling, dancing, sitting on her deck and spending time with her dog Bella.

Surviving are her mother Marjorie Linthorne of Stellarton; brothers: Robert (Barb) Linthorne of Pictou, Gerald (Shelly) Linthorne of Pictou, Harold (Debbie) Linthorne of Westville; sisters: Grace MacDonald of St. Catherine’s Ont., Helen (Mac) Heighton of Pictou, Jeanette Linthorne of St. Catherine’s Ont., Sharon (Mike) Francis of St. Catherine’s Ont.; stepdaught­er Margaret (Ron) MacKenzie; many nieces and nephews which she kept close to her heart.

She was predecease­d by her father Harvey Linthorne, husband Frank Eaton; sisters: Heather, Marlene and Brenda; brother Freddie; maternal grandparen­ts Neil and Hazel Curry; paternal grandparen­ts Joseph and Frances Linthorne.

The family will receive visitors from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Jim Schaffner officiatin­g.

Cremation to follow with burial in the Brookside Cemetery at a later date.

Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital or to a charity of one’s choice.
