● Knitting Circle – Alternating Saturdays at 2:30 p.m., New Glasgow library.
● Auction 45s – Pictou New Horizons Club, 7 p.m. Admission $2.
● Karaoke – New Glasgow Legion by Doug Odo, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
● Family Lego Time – Pictou library, runs all day. All are welcome.
● Card Party – Bridgeville Community Hall 7:30 p.m. Lunch served. Everyone welcome.
● Imagination Saturdays – Make something cool to take home, crafts, Lego (drop-in, all ages) 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Pictou Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. River John Library; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Westville Public Library; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Stellarton Public Library.
DAILY EVENTS
● Volunteers Needed – for VON volunteer assisted transportation as well as one week a month for Meals on Wheels Westville programs. For more information call Sheila Hoeg at (902) 752-3184, ext. 211.
● Donate Clothing – and cloth items to Diabetes Canada’s reusable goods donation program. Drop bagged items in red clothing donation bins available at several locations throughout Pictou County. Call 1-800-505-5525 or visit declutter.diabetes.ca for more information.
● GO – players wanted. Call Al 902 755-3250 if interested.
● Na Gaisgich Pipes and Drums – New season of practices on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. at Northumberland Regional High School in Alma. Season starts Oct. 16 and the band is accepting new members, including beginner and experienced pipers and drummers. Instruction is available and consists of all levels of playing.

● Chase the Ace – Stellar Curling Club, 6 - 8 p.m. Jackpot approx. $14,000. Nine cards remaining

● Voluntary Road Toll – Stations will be set up on Cowan Street, North Main Street and Drummond Road from 9 a.m. to noon to collect donations for the Westville Fire and Rescue.
● Auction 45s – at Trenton Legion at 1 p.m.
● Community Market – 9 a.m.-noon Garden of Eden Community Hall market offering vegetables, preserves, honey, cranberries and flea market tables.
● Old Time Dance – Toney River Community Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. Music by Raymond and Marlene MacDonald and Dana Jefferson. Adm. $7. Shared lunch.
October 8
● Linacy Fire Hall – Hosting District 9 150 celebrations noon-3 p.m. showcasing new fire truck. There will be a barbecue and bouncy house for children.
● Chase the Ace – at Trenton Legion spons. by Trenton Fire Dept and Br. #29. Tickets sold from 2-4 p.m. with draw to follow. Must be present to win. This week’s jackpot starts at $6,027.50. Karaoke with KGB Ent. right after draw from 4-9 p.m.

● Women Alike Group – Meeting at Glen Haven Manor (back door) at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Cheryl MacKay, on reflexology. This is a meeting for breast cancer survivors. There will be a few snacks provided at the end.

● Pictou County Mental Illness – Family Support Group meeting 7-9 p.m. in room B120 of the NSCC, 39 Acadia Avenue, Stellarton. Michael Petter, senior news director for East Coast FM will join the group and share his story.

● PiCCoLA – presents Family Literacy with Nikkie. Join for a fun-filled afternoon of crafts, stories and snacks. This free activity is open to all – but you must register by calling our New Glasgow office 902-755-5827. FamLit with Nikkie takes place from 3:154:45 p.m. at PiCCoLA’s New Glasgow location – 174 Archimedes St.

● Bingo – at New Glasgow 55 Plus Club (upstairs of New Glasgow Fire Department) at 1:30 p.m. Door prize, sweets, prizes, great lunch, and a good time for all.
