DEANS hosting annual awards gala April 12

A local tourism association is inviting everyone to unleash their greatness in 2018.

Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores is hosting its annual Gala Awards Dinner on April 12 at Glasgow Square Theatre to kick off the 2018 season.

“We are pleased to have guest speaker Buhle Dlamini, a soughtafter international speaker. His presentation, Unleashing Your Greatness, will inspire you to think bigger, aim higher and unleash your own greatness,” said Cindy MacKinnon, general manager of DEANS.

Rising Star Award

This award is presented in memory of Mike Broomfield. This award will be presented to a new tourism sector business or attraction established within the last five years that demonstrates strong potential for tourism development within the DEANS region.

This award will be presented to a tourism sector accommodation or attraction, which has made a marketing impact on the local tourism scene, bringing high profile to the DEANS region.

CEO Award – Chief Experience Opportunity This award will be presented to a tourism sector individual, business or attraction, which has been stalwart on the regional tourism and cultural scene, leading the way as an example of excellence. A for Adventure
