• Craft and Pantry Sale – Highland Square Mall starting when mall opens. Sponsored by East River Presbyteri­an Charge.

• Baby Goat Yoga – For Earth ARC at JP Gammon Centre, Scotsburn. Two sessions: 6-7 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m. Cost: $15 per person per session, all proceeds to Earth ARC. Register by calling 902-754-1204 or 902-9213002. Please bring your own mat.

March 17

• St . Patrick’s Day Dance – Westville Legion, 8 p.m.-12. Live music: Allan O’Brien & Rockin Country, $7 a ticket.

• Friends of Redtail Society – Annual General Meeting 1 p.m. Keynote address at 2 p.m. with Joan Baxter, author of “The Mill” Fifty Years of Pulp and Protest, offering reflection­s since the book came out. All welcome. Location: John P. Gammon Centre, Scotsburn, 4136 Scotsburn Rd., next to the Post Office. Storm date March 18.

• Mibby MacDonald Auction 45’s tournament – Trenton Legion

1 p.m. $12/person. Bring your own partner. Corned beed and cabbage supper to follow from 4-sold out. $12/person. Karaoke with KGB Ent. 7 p.m.-close.

• Jiggs Dinner – St. Columba United Church, Hopewell, 4-6 p.m. Corn beef and cabbage, lemon pie. Adults. $12, children $6. Come celebrate St. Patrick’s day.

• Pictou Library – Lucky clover game and St. Patrick’s crafts 10:30 a.m.; bingo 2 p.m.; scavenger hunt 3-4:30.

March 18

• Gospel Concert – Second United Baptist Church, 330 Washington St., New Glasgow, 3 p.m. Featuring Razzamajaz­z Ensemble, Ray Stewart, Little Harbour Choir, Danny Walsh, 2nd United Baptist Sr Choir, Stellarton Male Chorus, The Vocal Chords Quartet and more. Free-will with proceeds going to help assist Viola’s Place Society. Fellowship and lunch following concert.

• Crown the Queen Fundraiser

– Summer Street Industries 4 p.m. Tickets sold 1:30-3:30 p.m. with draw at 4. You don’t have to be present to win. Tickets also available through the week at New Beginnings (Summer Street), Tip Top Tailors, Cross Roads Country Market, Fast Gas and East End Grocery.

• Chase the Ace – Trenton Legion spons. by Trenton Fire Dept and Br. #29. Advance tickets: Tartan Blade Barbershop, Needs in Trenton, Needs at Stellarton Rotary, Sobeys Express, Abercrombi­e Variety, Cornish’s Variety and Cocoa Beach Tanning. Tickets also sold 2-4 p.m. on Sunday with draw to follow. You don’t have to be present to win. Karaoke with KGB Ent. right after draw 4:30-9 p.m.

• Chase the Ace – For Westville Rink and Westville Legion 1-3 p.m. held at Westville Legion. Jackpot is $15,180.

• Art in the Hall 2 – Museum of Industry, Stellarton, rotating installati­ons of art by Pictou County artists. Curated by the Art At Large Collective, it features seven new and emerging artists – carvings to weavings, charcoal drawings to photograph­ybased multimedia. Free admission to view show.

• Exhibit of Photograph­s – Created by Michael Hagenbuch and Michael Byrne, at The Bistro, 216 Archimedes St., New Glasgow.

March 20

• Free tax clinic – for simple, low income returns from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.at Westville Library/gym.
