Wellness Centre wants to know how next five years can be better

- BY SUEANN MUSICK

The Pictou County Wellness Centre wants public input on what its next five years should look like. The Wellness Centre has planned four public meetings beginning with two which were held Tuesday, Oct. 16, that will allow the building authority’s board of directors to collect comments and ideas as it works towards developing its strategic plan.

“The meetings will be facilitated by a consultant hired by the board and questions will be asked to get people’s feedback on what can be done to bring you to the building and improve on what the building offers,” said the centre’s general manager David Hood.

Two additional meetings will be held Oct. 23 at noon and 6:30 p.m. at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.

Feedback is also being collected through on online survey until Oct. 31. The link for the survey can be found on the Pictou County Wellness Centre’s Facebook page.

“These meetings are not about what is wrong with current operations, but sharing how the facility can move forward,” Hood said. “How can the facility help Pictou County and if you aren’t coming to the wellness centre, how can we get you here?”

Registration for these focus groups is not required, but people can RSVP by contacting David Hood at 902-755-8870 ext 324 or by email at david.hood@pcwellnesscentre.ca.

Hood is also available to answer questions about the pending strategic planning process and can be reached at the same email and phone number.
