On Saturday October 13, 2018 Kimberley Denise MacGrath Jacksons struggles came to an end. Born September 4, 1961, Kim is survived by her son Avery Jackson, Clarence, N.S. and Avery’s father Alan Jackson, Clarence;

N.S.; parents Carl Theodore MacGrath and Juanita Elizabeth Ann (Fraser) MacGrath,

East River St. Mary’s; sister Tammy (Dave) MacLaren,

New Glasgow; nieces Kilti and Courtney MacLaren and nephew Matthew (Melanie) MacGrath, P.E.I.; great niece Keely MacGrath, great nephews Levi and Suttor MacGrath and many extended family. Kim was predecease­d by her brother Richard MacGrath; grandparen­ts Farley & Margaret (Jordan) Fraser and Danial & Marion (Boggs) MacGrath. Kim was a graduate from St., Martha’s Nursing School of Antigonish. She excelled at being an Emergency Nurse and a Paramedic, Level 3. She was always a strong advocate for her patients. In the latter years Kim’s journey was not an easy one. A loving mother; Avery was the one bright ray in her life. Kim has now found peace; just not in the way we had hoped. Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Visitation will take place Thursday Oct 18, 6-8 p.m. Service will take place at Bethany United Church, East River St., Mary’s, Friday Oct 19th at 2 p.m. with Derek Elsworth officiatin­g. Reception to follow at East River St., Mary’s Fire Dept. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Mental Health Foundation, Clarence United Baptist Church (of which Avery strives to keep open), Maple Grove Cemetery, East River St., Mary’s or Bethany United Church, East River St. Mary’s.
