Cocaine bust results in multiple charges
Two men are facing drug charges after the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit conducted a stop of a car on Foord Street in Stellarton on Oct. 23.
Police arrested a 37-year-old man from New Glasgow and a 21-year-old man from Stellarton who were allegedly in possession of cocaine. Stellarton Police Service and New Glasgow Regional Police also assisted in the investigation. As a result of continued investigation, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Forbes Street in New Glasgow, seizing cocaine, MDMA, psilocybin, cash and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking, police said in a release.
The 37-year-old has been charged with trafficking cocaine and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and was held in police custody.
The 21-year-old male has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and was released from custody.
He will appear in provincial court at a later date.
