Major Bantam Bombers lose twice on the weekend
The Pictou County Wear Well Bombers dropped a pair of games on the weekend.
In a Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League game on Nov. 4, the Bombers lost 5-3 against the All Credit Auto Rangers in a game played at the East Hants Sportspex. Lucas Canning had two goals for Pictou County, while Adam Farrell also scored and Keifer Avery set up two goals.
On Nov. 3 in Antigonish, the Bombers lost 8-7 in overtime against The Novas after the visitors scored twice in the final two minutes to knot the score.
Ben Wallace poured in three goals for Pictou County, Blaise MacDonald scored twice, and Canning and Tanner Steele had single markers. Avery had three assists and Landon Sim set up two goals.
The Bombers, with a record of 5-7-1 on the season, have a 5:30 p.m. game at the Pictou County Wellness Centre on Nov. 10 against the Gulls, and are in Dartmouth on Nov. 11 to play the Whalers.
