50 Plus Club meets

The 50 Plus Club of New Glasgow held its regular monthly meeting at the New Glasgow Fire Hall on Nov. 7.

President Kathleen opened the meeting with the senior’s prayer and song. Treasurer June read the financial report from Oct. 3 to Nov. 7.

Activities: Dance Fridays are held from 10 to 11 a.m.

Elaine will be taking care of the new parking passes. To receive your parking pass you must present your name and licence number.

On the first Wednesday of every month, the Salvation Army will have 50 per cent off all items except furniture. On Dec. 8, the Salvation in New Glasgow will host a Christmas sale for ages 60plus. Lunch will be served from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The speaker for the month of November was Jan Keefe of center for music on summit. They offer private and group instructio­n for all ages in piano, violin/fiddle, guitar, musical theatre and voice. For informatio­n, call 902-752-8743 or 902-759-9795. On Sunday, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m. there will be a Christmas sing-a-long.
