50 Plus Club meets

The 50 Plus Club of New Glas­gow held its reg­u­lar monthly meet­ing at the New Glas­gow Fire Hall on Nov. 7.

Pres­i­dent Kath­leen opened the meet­ing with the se­nior’s prayer and song. Trea­surer June read the fi­nan­cial re­port from Oct. 3 to Nov. 7.

Ac­tiv­i­ties: Dance Fri­days are held from 10 to 11 a.m.

Elaine will be tak­ing care of the new park­ing passes. To re­ceive your park­ing pass you must present your name and li­cence num­ber.

On the first Wed­nes­day of ev­ery month, the Sal­va­tion Army will have 50 per cent off all items ex­cept fur­ni­ture. On Dec. 8, the Sal­va­tion in New Glas­gow will host a Christ­mas sale for ages 60plus. Lunch will be served from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The speaker for the month of Novem­ber was Jan Keefe of cen­ter for mu­sic on sum­mit. They of­fer pri­vate and group in­struc­tion for all ages in pi­ano, vi­o­lin/fid­dle, gui­tar, mu­si­cal theatre and voice. For in­for­ma­tion, call 902-752-8743 or 902-759-9795. On Sun­day, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m. there will be a Christ­mas sing-a-long.
