Pee­wee AAA Crush­ers erupt of­fen­sively

WESTVILLE ROAD, N.S. — The Pic­tou County Pee­wee AAA Crush­ers hockey team proved to be too much for the Aca­dia Ax­e­men in a home­and-home se­ries this past week­end. On Satur­day in Aca­dia, the Crush­ers beat the Ax­e­men 13-1. Scor­ing for the Crush­ers were Levon Walst, with a hat trick, Ben Marc­hand, Kea­gan Dal­ton and Lane Sim, with two each, Kaden Smith, Lan­don Steele, Do­minic MacKen­zie and Wy­att Spence. As­sists went to Kings­ley Austin (3), Cade Moser (3), Owen Con­rad (2), Dal­ton (2), Lane Sim, Ben Manos, Steele, Clint MacLaugh­lin, Marc­hand, Walst and Amias Cross­man. On Sun­day at the Pic­tou County Well­ness Cen­tre, the Crush­ers won 9-0.

Scor­ing for the Crush­ers were Dal­ton, with three, MacLaugh­lin had a pair and sin­gles from Cross­man, Walst, Moser, Steele. As­sists went to Walst (3), Dal­ton (2), sin­gles from Cross­man, Spence, Steele, MacLaugh­lin, Austin, Sim and Manos.

Alex Palmer was rock-solid in nets, record­ing the shutout.

The Crush­ers cur­rently sit in sec­ond place in the Mainland league with an 8-2-1 record.

The Crush­ers next see ac­tion Dec. 6 in Dart­mouth at the SDEMA tour­na­ment.
