Pee­wee A Crush­ers win two from West Colch­ester

THORBURN, N.S. — The Pee­wee A Crush­ers de­feated West Colch­ester in both of their mi­nor hockey games last week­end.

On Satur­day in Thorburn, they skated away with a 6–2 win. Scor­ing for the Crush­ers were Grif­fin Hor­ton (2), Jack MacNeil (2), Cole Bry­den and Thomas Hil­lier. As­sists went to Caden Hawes, Blake Misener and Ethan Barker. Austin Swain recorded the win.

On Sun­day in De­bert, the Crush­ers ran into a goal­tenders’ duel in a back-and-forth con­test. The Crush­ers pulled ahead on the power play late in the game to go ahead 3–2, then with a Crusher in the penalty box, West Colch­ester pulled its goal­tender for an ex­tra at­tacker but to no avail as Bry­den grabbed a loose puck and buried it into the open net for his sec­ond goal of the game. Also scor­ing for the Crush­ers were Grif­fin Hor­ton and Blake Misener with as­sists com­ing off the sticks of Le­land Tobin and Chris Jor­den. Noah La­rade-MacDon­ald played a strong game be­tween the pipes for the Crush­ers.

The Crush­ers play Antigo­nish in a home-and-home se­ries next week­end.
