Municipalities ante up for overages
All Pictou County municipalities have chipped in to cover the additional $1.9 million it took to complete the new Emergency Department at the Aberdeen Hospital.
The access road and pharmacy department, as well as the land and legal and tax bills are included in the project’s final bill which has now reached $8.7 million.
The original estimate for the entire project was placed at $6.8 million.
That cost is shared by the six municipalities and the additional $1.9 million assessment breaks down like this:
