Woman arrested for Stewiacke bomb threats
STEWIACKE, N.S. — Police have arrested a 33-year-old woman for making bomb threats directed at a Stewiacke business.
The threats were made to the same business Nov. 25, Dec. 25 and Dec. 27 and indicated both the business and personnel could be in harm’s way.
As a result, Colchester County District RCMP responded and other emergency services, including fire and EHS were also dispatched to the scene. The business was evacuated until searches were completed by police explosives and K-9 units.
On Dec. 27, the RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Stewiacke. The female suspect was arrested at the residence without incident and is facing three charges each of mischief and uttering threats.
The woman was released and is scheduled to appear in Truro provincial court on March 20, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
The investigation continues.
